Connecting to the Outside World

A home is not a totally self-sufficient biosphere. A home requires resources from the outside word to fully function. House designs are modeled to be connected to the outside world. Electrical and plumbing systems are basic components of house designs. These systems provide the resources and comfort needed by the occupants of the house. On the other hand, fast internet connections and telephone lines are the communication systems of the house. Even houses that are isolated from communities should at least have a telephone line for communication and emergency purposes.Landline telephones have separate power supply. Hence, even during electrical power interruptions, landline telephones can still be used. Telephones also use significantly low power. The great advantage of a landline telephone over cellular phones is its reliability. Landline telephones do not need to be recharged. Low signal coverage or absence of coverage is seldom an issue.Landline telephones are included in the subscription package. The modern landline telephone has a basic touch dial number pad design. This design is an innovation from the obsolete spin dial design. Touch dial number pad is a convenient and faster way of dialing numbers.
