Notebooks have long been replacing the functionality of desktops, usually at a much higher cost. However, with the increasing demand for new technologies, and especially with the advent of hand-held mobiles and smart phones, laptops will have to compete for consumer attention.So, can we find notebooks at a more affordable rate now? Compared to their prices before, yes, because there is a inevitable depreciation in value with the models over the years. However, some brand-new models today have premium prices. Obviously, their portability is still very much valued.On the other hand, affordability still depends on the need and intent of use of the customer. Does the person work at home or during travel? Does he or she play intense games, or just an average office user? Hence, demography is still a major consideration in deciding whether a laptop's price is reasonable or not.
